Dinner in Paris: Escargot, Family Style & Eiffel Tower Sparkle

Paris has a way of turning every meal into an experience — and dinner at Bistro Saint Dominique was one for the books. This was a nice spot because it was close to the Eiffel Tower. I would probably not recommend it if your kids are starving or with smaller children as the service is slow- or maybe that is just Parisian style?

All day long, we’d been talking (okay, joking) about trying escargot — yep, snails! The kids gave us a firm “no way”... until they saw Mom and Dad digging in. Curiosity got the best of them, and guess what? They tried it. They loved it. They asked for more. Victory! 🐌✨

For dinner, we went family-style, ordering a few different entrées and sharing bites all around. It was the perfect way for the kids to sample new flavors without committing to a whole plate — and it made the meal feel more like an adventure than just a sit-down dinner.

We capped it all off with a chocolate volcano cake topped with whipped cream. Rich, warm, and melty — exactly how dessert in Paris should be. 🍫🍰

We lingered at the table for over two hours, and our little eaters hung in there like champs. A deck of Uno cards, some fun conversation, and a little people-watching kept them entertained in true Parisian fashion.

After dinner, we took a magical evening walk to the Eiffel Tower, glowing in the night sky. A sweet, sparkly end to a delicious day.

Little Eaters Takeaway:
Trying something new (even snails!) can surprise you — especially when Mom and Dad are doing it too. 🐌
Sharing plates = more tastes, more fun, and no food FOMO.
And a long dinner isn't so bad when there's dessert at the end... and Uno in between. 😉
