🇮🇪 Little Eaters in Ireland: Breakfast at Grandma & Grandpa’s

We made it! After a long flight (and a lot of snacks), we touched down in beautiful Ireland, ready for family, fresh air, and of course—food.

Our first stop was Grandma and Grandpa’s house, where we were welcomed with warm hugs, familiar smells, and a classic Irish breakfast waiting on the table. The kids were still rubbing sleep from their eyes but perked up the moment they saw plates full of Irish bacon, sausages, sautéed tomatoes, mushrooms, and thick slices of buttery brown bread.

To our surprise (and total delight), they were all in—tasting everything on their plates. One asked for more mushrooms, the other happily polished off the tomatoes and brown bread, and both gave Irish bacon two thumbs up. Jet lag and all, this was a major win and a gentle reminder of how new environments can spark curiosity with food, especially when surrounded by loving family.

After bellies were full and plates cleared, everyone snuggled up for a much-needed nap.

🍽️ Little Eater Takeaway:

Don’t underestimate the power of family meals in familiar, relaxed settings. When kids feel safe and connected, they’re more open to trying new flavors—especially when it’s part of a warm, shared experience.
